Pratitee “Pia” Ghose
Special Counsel
A Global Legal Heritage
Born in India and educated under both the British and American systems, I bring a deeply multicultural and diverse perspective to my work. As a fifth-generation attorney from a family of lawyers and judges, I have a view of the world—and the legal profession—that is both sophisticated and unique.
Strategic Foundations & Corporate Insight
I spent several years in the corporate world, gaining a foundational understanding of business operations. During my legal education, I focused on honing my strategic approach and was recognized with top awards for my negotiation skills. I also had the opportunity to intern within the legal department of a global multinational conglomerate, where I worked on multimillion-dollar contractual deals and complex arbitration clauses.
Proven Excellence in High-Stakes Litigation
Upon graduation, I joined the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office as a Research Fellow. There, I specialized in pretrial advocacy, large-scale civil rights impact litigation, and appellate work. My career reached an early milestone when I worked on a writ appeal to the California Supreme Court that was successfully granted. Since then, I have successfully litigated at the California Supreme Court, obtaining a petition for review for my client, and contributed to the COVID habeas litigation on behalf of San Quentin prisoners.
Comprehensive Expertise & Specializations
I bring a broad range of expertise in negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations, along with a deep professional interest in antitrust issues. With a focus on clarity, risk management, and results, I guide clients through every stage of the process—from agreement formation to resolution—delivering professional, cost-effective advocacy aligned with their goals.
