About Me

I am a proud Trinidadian-Salvadoreña born and raised in San Francisco, whose ancestors thrived despite transnational conflicts and colonialism. As a lawyer, mediator, and negotiation consultant, I offer an active, earned perspective from all sides of the law. My mission is to empower others to find and courageously share their own voices.

My practice provides a 360-degree advantage in investigations and fact analysis. I possess extensive knowledge of constitutional policing and law enforcement oversight, ranging from challenging conduct as a Deputy Public Defender to delivering strategic counsel to municipalities as a Senior Associate. I offer deep expertise in the Tom Bane Act and Section 1983 claims, ensuring clients navigate high-profile issues with a nuanced, well-balanced perspective.

My professional journey is grounded in federal oversight and high-stakes litigation. I served as a Judicial Extern for the U.S. District Court, drafting published summary judgment opinions, and as a Civil Litigation Extern at the EEOC managing complex discovery. As an Assistant District Attorney, I tried felony cases to verdict and co-created bilingual diversion programs. Previously, as a journalist and ethnographer for a local newspaper, I learned to handle people's stories with dignity and integrity.

Grounded in the ethnographic process of anthropology and the power of storytelling, I look beyond the dispute to the human heart of the matter. Whether appearing before state and federal courts or drafting policy to transform oppressive practices, I guide my clients toward a powerful path forward.
